Education not Incarceration

I enjoyed going to the Education not Incarceration Forum at City College because I was informed a lot about what's really going on in the world. Ernesto B. was my favorite speaker because he's been incarcerated himself as harassed by police something I can relate to. Its true instead of educating youths they number of youth incarceration is going up.

Goals Assignment

This grading period I did really good Im proud of my self, but I know I can do better. My goal for the next grading period is to finish/fill my last box of math and last box of biology. I'll do this by working hard in Connie's class and by stay on task. I will also come to school on time everyday along with staying till schools over. My sexual goal is to keep using condoms with my partern. To keep using condoms with my partern I will continue to go to plannedparent Hood when needed.

The Supremacy Clause

1) According to Thomas Jefferson "Not a foot of land will be taken from the Indians without their conset" this quote was not kept because throughout history the governer has taken the land of the Native Americans.

2)They didnt want to go to Oklahoma so they satrted to build schools and many became christians.

3)Indian tribes had lost ninety million acres of reservation land. Because it divided the reservation into seprate pieces of land called allotments. The law stated that any land left on the reservation after each Indian had received his or her allotment, was declared "surplus land" and could be slod to non-indians.

4)Captain Joseph was part of the Nez Perce and agreed to move to a reservation in 1855 but later were forced to move because they found GOLD in that part of reservation.
4B)Captain Jack was part of the Modoc Tribe and they were forced onto a reservation in Oregan to live with old tribal enemies and led a group of his people back to thier taditional lands. Thier request to be given a place to live in thier homeland was denied by the goverment.

5)Supremacy Clause- The white had got the presidant to over rule bacause they wanted the land and its resources.

6)NO, I wouldnt of listein unless they threatin my family but in other cases no because I dont like when people tell me what to do and I would've found a way to get warm clothes and supplies just for my family.

Setting Goals

I`m to put more effort in my math class by competing my work every time I show up for school.

I`m going to talk in class only when appropriate by raising my hand and only speaking when I`m called on.

I will not violate probation or be at risk to get detained by not using drugs, and staying home.

Review Of Piece of Cake

I really enjoyed reading Piece of Cake along with the discussion we had with Words Alive. The discussion was kept interesting and allowed me to speak my mind about the book. If I could have changed anything from yesterdays discussion I would have liked to be the facilitator. From yesterdays discussion I learned everyone has different opinions about the book which is good. I see many fuck ups can still accomplish their dreams, I'm proud of Cupcake and know if she changed her live around for good i can too. Overall this book was a good book to read I can relate to this book in many ways I recommend it.
